I was raised in Davie County and feel grateful to call it home once again. After graduating from
the University of Georgia, Joel and I married and made the choice to return to North Carolina
so we could have the support of family while raising our children including our son with special needs. Being surrounded by the love and encouragement of this welcoming community has meant the world to our family, and we are proud to serve here. Joel may not
have grown up here, but he has fallen in love with Davie for the same reasons I always
have—the small-town heart, the warmth of its people, and the strong sense of belonging that
makes it such a special place to live. Working as a husband-and-wife team allows us to
